Solar for your Home

The right panels for your home
Too few panels and you’re not maximising your solar potential, too many panels and you won’t be able to use all the energy generated, but you’re still paying the up-front cost for the panels. But don’t worry, we’re solar experts and it’s our job to find that sweet spot so you’re maximising solar at the most affordable price. Sounds good right?
We have developed three solar packages that have a varying number of solar panels included in them, dependant on how much solar your home is able to generate (and use) during an average day.
At iGenerate we ensure we provide our customers with the perfect solar system tailored for their home, so we are very happy to work with you to tailor a system that best suits your needs
Get the best of both worlds
Most of our iGenerate customers currently run their solar panels while still being ‘on-grid’, meaning they revert back to power supply from their power company during the evening or when their panels are not producing energy. For more information on going off-grid visit our Solar Storage page.

What size Solar System should I install?
We will talk to you about your unique electricity needs and tailor a solar solution for you. Energy is measured in kWhs (kilowatt hours). To put it simply, if we install a 3 kW solar system in your home, it will generate 3 kW of electricity for every full hour of sunlight.
To show you how this works we’ve given you some information about what you’ll be able to offset for 1 kW, in the House image above. We use the term offset because solar power ‘offsets’ what you need to pay for from your electricity retailer. The more solar you use the more power you offset. Click on the appliances and features, like the pool or spa, to see how much energy is required to run them. Before we decide on the right size solar system, we will ask you questions about your household, what appliances you have on and how much energy you are using throughout the day. You latest power bill will give us a good picture. All of this information helps in deciding what size kW solar panels to install in your home.
